Privacy Policy

Who we are. Virginia Archery Center (formerly Hunt'n'Shak / HNS Archery), 2918 River Road West, Goochland, VA 23063 · (804) 562-1673 · huntnshak@comcast.net.

What we collect. Information you give us directly — your name, phone number, and email when you call, email, book a lesson or event, or ask to be notified about a course. This website does not require an account and does not itself set advertising cookies. Embedded third-party content (such as the Google Map on our Visit page or the Facebook feeds on our Media page) may set its own cookies subject to that provider's privacy policy.

How we use it. To respond to you, schedule lessons and events, and — only if you asked — to let you know when a course or program launches. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Your Virginia rights. Under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Virginia residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data, and may opt out of targeted advertising or sale of personal data (we do neither). To exercise any right, call or email us using the contact details above and we'll take care of it.

Children. Our JOAD program serves ages 8–20, but registrations and communications are handled with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 (COPPA).

Retention & security. We keep contact information only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it. If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.

Terms & Conditions

Use of this site. This website is provided for general information about our shop, programs, and services. Content is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Hours, prices, and program details may change — when in doubt, call the shack.

Bookings & payments. Lessons, events, and services are booked by phone or in person and are subject to availability. Event reservations may require confirmation of group size and date. Pricing quoted at booking controls over anything on this site.

Range safety & assumption of risk. Archery involves inherent risks. All participants must follow posted range rules and staff instructions at all times. Participants (or a parent/guardian for minors) may be required to sign a liability waiver before shooting. We reserve the right to refuse range access to anyone who does not follow safety rules.

Service work. Bow service and repair are performed with reasonable care on any make or model. Lifetime inspections apply only to bows purchased at the Virginia Archery Center. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or manufacturer defects, which remain subject to the manufacturer's warranty.

Intellectual property. All web designs, text, logos, and photos on this site are © HNS Archery / Virginia Archery Center. Third-party trademarks (including Mathews® and Mission®) belong to their owners and are used to identify the genuine products we carry.

Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Virginia Archery Center is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of this website. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, with venue in Goochland County.

Accessibility Statement

We want every archer to be able to use this website and visit our shop. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA: descriptive alt text on meaningful images, sufficient color contrast, keyboard-reachable controls, and layouts that work with screen magnification and on mobile devices.

If any part of this site is hard for you to use, or you need program information in another format, please call (804) 562-1673 or email huntnshak@comcast.net — we'll fix it or get you the information another way. For in-person visits, let us know ahead of time and we'll do everything we can to accommodate you at the range.

Additional Disclaimers
